This event is suitable for anyone responsible for, or interested in, statistical disclosure control of research outputs based on confidential data. We’ve chosen this time as it does allow the possibility of friends in both Oceania and North America joining – apologies for anyone for whom it’s not ideal. We will record the sessions for the purposes of writing up but we don’t plan (at this stage) to make the recordings public.

The aims of this workshop will be to
- Review the last two years of SDC training for output checkers in the UK, including views from trainees and data holders
- Identify future trainee needs, areas where practice an be improved/needs to change
- Introduce a UWE project on developing materials for research OSDC and training, and on public engagement with confidentiality protection
- Provide input into the development plan
